AP notifies ULB election rules: Direct election for mayor, indirect for deputy

Vijayawada: The state govt notified the statutory framework for conducting ordinary elections to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), paving the way for the direct election of mayors and chairpersons while retaining the indirect election system for deputy mayors and vic
